Taylor Hanson

Taylor Hanson joined the Aberdeen Development Corporation in November 2018 as Director of Business Development. Since joining the ADC, Taylor has created a local business outreach program that is carried out through Business Retention & Expansion (BR&E) visits. BR&E visits are one of the strategies the ADC implements to support our mission to recruit, retain, expand, and provide entrepreneurial support to enhance the economic opportunity in the Aberdeen area. Additionally, Taylor executes tasks related to workforce development, data analysis, grant-related endeavors, and community relations. Taylor completed the Advanced Economic Development Leadership course in 2022, earning her the designation of Master Economic Development Practitioner (MEDP), the International Economic Development Council (IEDC) Heartland Basic Economic Development Course (2019), and the IEDC Business Retention and Expansion Course (2019). She is also working on her Master in Business Administration online from the University of Mary in Bismarck, North Dakota.

Prior to the ADC, Taylor worked in communications for an educational travel company, World Classrooms, where she worked with school administrators from the Midwest to organize and lead class trips to Washington D.C., and New York City. Taylor graduated from Northern State University in 2017 with a Bachelor of Vocal Music Education, a Minor in Business, and a Certificate in Arts Administration.
