Tim Hanigan is the new Chief Executive Officer at the Aberdeen Development Corporation!
Tim joined the ADC in October 2024 as the CEO. Previously, he was on the board of directors for 6 years and served as chair the last 2 years. “I am incredibly excited to embark on this new chapter as CEO of the Aberdeen Development Corporation. While the departure of my previous employer from town initially came as a surprise, I quickly recognized the tremendous opportunity this role presents to make a meaningful impact and contribute to the growth and vitality of the community that has become my home. Mike Bockorny, our outgoing CEO, has done a remarkable job positioning the ADC for continued success, and I’m eager to build on the strong foundation he leaves behind.
In just the past year, we’ve celebrated significant milestones, including the success of Harris Machining Co., the deployment of loan funds to eight promising ventures, multiple land sales, and key achievements in workforce development, entrepreneurship, and public policy.
Having served on the board for six years, including nearly two as chairman, I feel well-prepared for this transition. The announcement of my new role came four months ago, allowing us to thoughtfully plan for a smooth and productive handover. Over the next 18 to 24 months, I’m confident we’ll see measurable progress as we advance key projects and initiatives that will deliver tangible benefits to Aberdeen’s residents and businesses. We’ve had several exciting recent announcements, thanks to the hard work of the ADC staff over the past year. These include Smack Foods, Tropical Smoothie Café, a potential expansion of Harris Machining Co., and the launch of our next business park. It’s certainly an exciting time for growth and development! Additionally, we’ve already identified several exciting initiatives, and work is underway to ensure their success. I look forward to sharing more details as these efforts take shape.
