Harris Machine Co. Finalized Building Purchase

Last week the Harris Family of Harris Machine Company finalized the purchase of the former Hub City Inc. building in the Aberdeen Industrial Park. The Aberdeen Development Corporation (ADC) worked with Harris over the past 15 months to bring this project to Aberdeen and facilitate the purchase of the property for Harris.

The ADC would like to thank the Brown County Commission, Judy Dosch (Brown County Building Superintendent) and the State’s Attorney Office for their participation in this effort. The ADC would also like to thank the Governor’s Office of Economic Development (GOED); especially, GOED Commissioner, Chris Schilken and Katherine Kirby.

Harris Machine Co. is excited to put this plant back to work in 2024! Thanks to the cooperation with Brown County and ADC, they have had staff working diligently for 3 months readying this plant for production. Harris Machine Co. will continue to take applications for all production positions for employment beginning in Spring of 2024. These positions will include, Welding, CNC Machining, Powder Coat Painting, Materiel Handling, Admin, and General Labor.
