Michael Bockorny

Michael Bockorny became the CEO of the Aberdeen Development Corporation in August of 2014. As the CEO he is responsible for communicating and implementing the ADC’s mission, overall direction and leading the development, and implementation of the overall organization’s strategy.

He previously worked for Primrose Retirement Communities, the Northern State University Foundation, and in the fields of retail startup and site location. In addition, Michael has founded/co-founded multiple companies throughout the years and has also taught multiple college courses, primarily focusing on entrepreneurship and small business management.

He holds a BS in Business Management from Northern State University and an MM from the University of Mary. Michael is a proud South Dakota native, growing up in Huron, SD. He and his wife Kristi (a Leola, SD native and business professor at Northern State University) have three children, a daughter-in-law and a fur baby; Matthew (Aubrey), Connor, and Emily and Charlee Puppy.
